I have been emailing friends on the mainland all week telling them that after 15 years I still can't get used to this Hawaiian christmas thing. They were telling me about how they were wrapped in polar fleece cozied up to the woodstove with a steaming cup of yum listening to the wind howl outside and being their introspective wintry selves. I tend to miss the seasons most when they are showing themselves distinctively over there. So here I was feeling sorry for myself because I was dressed in shorts and a tank top (again) and needing to mow my lawn and wash my car (again!). So guess what I got? Funky, blustering, flooding, dark, dreary kona storms - 2 In A ROW!! Yeah me ! Super manifestor!! Sometimes I feel the universe is just trying to see if I get it yet.
